A week ago we had the great opportunity to go to a hockey game. The Utah Grizzlies had come to the kids school, and through this, Ellie and Ro got a free ticket each. Family members were able to purchase tickets at a very discounted price. The girls and I had never been to a hockey game. Brett and Ro had been to one back in Colorado. (funny side note: Brett and Ro watched the Colorado hockey game in a suite. They had all kinds of yummy things to eat and they got free shirts and other fun things. Raul was very disappointed to learn that we would be watching the game as "common folk", in the cheap seats) When we got there we realized we actually had some pretty decent seats; we were behind one of the goals. I thought at first I wouldn't like it, but really that is where all the action is; so it was crazy fun! We cheered our guts out, had Dippen Dots ice cream (one of my favorites) and really gained a love for hockey. I had no idea what a fast paced game it is. We really are fans now. Hopefully we will be able to go again next season. (I think I might check into season passes even...we will see) One of my friends back in Colorado (hi Melissa) loves hockey. Now I understand why! Unfortunately, we lost in the last few minutes of the game. We did, however, get to see some great fights; and isn't that really the best part? :) Thanks (school that my kids go to) for providing us with a much needed night of cheering and hollering; it was awesome!
Ps. On another silly side note: When we were leaving the parking lot, after the game, we were behind a car with a personalized license plate. It read "SNAZI". I pronounced "Snotzi" --like a snotty nazi. I thought that was a weird thing to put on a license plate; and possibly dangerous. Who shares with people that that are a snotty nazi? Maybe someone who has been at the point of the mountain? (prison for all of you outside of Utah) But not a nice suburban driving, hockey watchin, Utahn right? Weird! Then my husband says "Um...I think it is snazzy." Oh....that makes much more sense!

How fun that sounds! Sometimes it is great to yell and holler at someone or something that doesn't even care! I could use that right now! Glad you had lots of fun! I love the SNAZI part! Love Naunie
Cute Pictures too! Naunie
I LOVE it! I got a shout out! I am so glad you have found the love of Hockey. Come back to Colorado and we can go to a game together. :)
Hockey is FUN! That is so cool that the kiddos got free tickets.
You all are so cute.
Wow looks like fun! The kids look like they had a ball! Well so do you and Brett. I love seeing pictures of your family having fun! You are a beautiful family! Love GrandPop
I like Snot Nazi better! The world could use more of those.
James and I met at a hockey game. :-) Yeah, that's how it all started. I didn't know what "icing" meant and the rest is history! (Maybe that's why our kids fight so much!)
Now looking back...I WISH I HAD GONE! You guys look like you had a blast!!!!
Looks like so much fun!! I miss you guys and wish we were closer! I really hope someday we will be! I'm not sure if it is going to be this summer :( Paul needs to get some experience before!! Either that or I'm going to start playing the lotto again!
