Saturday afternoon I recieved a call from the Teachers Quorum President in my ward. He was calling to see if our family would be willing to bring the bread for Sacrament the next day. I, of course, said yes. We had just gotten home from getting all of our shopping done and I didn't really want to go out again. (I am lazy!) Also, if you will recall in the previous post, we are trying to be frugal. So I decided I would make the Sacrament bread myself. It might be silly but I was so happy to be able to provide the bread for such an important ordinance.
I felt like I really gave of myself.
Here are a few pictures of me making the bread.
I'm a dork; believe me I know this.
I did make a bit of a mess. This was before I had "Mr. Clean" for a husband.
Sadly I had to clean it up myself.
Gee, ain't they perty!

Pressing down on the doe you remind me of mom. Except the doe she was pressing down was the size of a large watermelon! The bread looks beautiful and I am hungry!!! Love Pop
AWESOME job Angie! What a girl you are! Naunie
You sift the flour with love and special things.
That is awesome. I don't think you can make bread and call yourself lazy.
Heidi~ You are too funny! Now I will be singing our special bread song all day. Maybe you and I can be the next Weird Al Yankovich's!
I remember in college we had someone who made bread for the sacrament instead of buying it. In Sunday School, one of the guys in my ward took it upon himself to stand up and publicly thank whoever did it, and then ask if they will bring the yummy bread each week. It was great, but I'm also telling you this as a warning. Homemade bread is powerful. And yours looks SO yummy I can just hear the requests coming in! You are a star!
