Neener Neener!

If you were to ask my kids today how lucky they are to have me as a mom, I am sure they would make these faces and say
"Oh Poo!" 

But there are a few days here and there that they might make these same faces but say

"Our Momma Rocks!"

I have been trying to create more of these days lately (the rocks kind, not the poo kind). Like previously mentioned, today was not one of those days.  I was cranky, they were cranky (probably because I was cranky) and things were not going very smoothly. 

When we got back from running a few errands, I read to them from our "Lunch Time Book Club" book (The Candy Shop Wars.....a must read!!!!) and by the end Raul was asleep.  Then Jackie went upstairs to play barbies and Ellie, of course, picked up her own book and started reading. Somehow I ended up asleep as well.  About an hour later I woke up and then Raul. Ellie finished her book and Jackie came downstairs to see what what going on.  We all had a few little cookies and the kids went outside to play.  Somehow during that hour we were all able to pull it together and find our happy feet again. I am not sure if it was because the 2 crankiest fell asleep or if it was the cookies.  Either way we will be eating cookies and I will be napping every day for the rest of the summer.
