Last week was a very interesting week for my little Jack Jack! Tuesday we thought it would be fun to see what it was like to go to the local Urgent care. So she made sure to fall down and crack her head on the coffee table! I didn't even realize she had hurt herself so badly till I all of the sudden noticed the great amounts of blood on the floor and on the couch! She was extremely brave. I, on the other hand, was not so brave. I tried to put up a front but I was not very good at it. I think it is sad when the Mom has to be comforted in the examing room, while the patient (Jackie) sits there calm as anything! She got eleven staples in her sweet little noggin. They told us that they usually have to restrain the little ones but she sat so very still and was such a tough cookie! Brett and I were so proud of her. She of course got to have whatever she wanted that day. Grandma Allen let her pick out a new stuffed animal the next day. She called her Aunt Shannon to tell of her adventure and told her "Now Mommy is really nice to me!". Too funny and yet sad all at the same time. I am hoping she just meant that I seemed to be extra nice recently and that is was not a comment on the suckiness that is her mother! I guess since she had experianced the joys of staples in her head she decided that she was a big girl now; and no longer wanted to wear pull-ups. She is officially wearing big girl undies!!! Yay! I really never thought it would happen. Last week it finally just clicked. She is very proud of herself and I am thrilled! So my sweet little one is growing up. I guess when I put it that way I almost want to pull out the diapers again.

Poor little girl! I am glad she was so brave, what a sweetie. When I ran over Sophie's leg on the golf cart I was doing fine until in the car on the way to the ER she was sobbing and yelled, "You did this to me!" I am sure you did fine, it's hard seeing your babies hurt. Give her a hug from us! Love ya, lexie
I'm so sorry about Jackie's head. Ouch! I hate to think about what I'd do in situations like that. Especially when blood is involved. I hope she heals quickly.
Oh, yeah for big girl undies. ;) Congratulations!
I am not a bit surprised by your tough little girl. I have seen her in a full sprint totally biff it, jump up with an "I'm ok!" and continue on to catch up with everyone else.
