Do you really want to know.....No!

I was tagged by my step-sister and my neighbor/friend. I figured I would combine the two.

Wanna hear it? Here it go!

I had just gotten engaged and was working at Deseret Book. I spent my days working, planning a wedding and spending every free moment I had with Brett.

5 things on my to do list

1. Organize/Clean my house (perpetually on my list)

2. Get my scrapbook area put together (I am itching to be creative)

3. Stay on top of my Scripture reading (I've gotten behind this week)

4. Show more love and patience (I.E. stop being a sucky mother and wife)

5. Finish reading Enna Burning (due back at the library tomorrow)

Snacks

Thanks to Heidi I have been really loving her awesome recipe for carmel corn. It is too yummy for words.

What I would do if I was given a billion dollars

I would pay off all my bills; get Brett a car that was actually reliable (well I guess if I had a billion he could get whatever kind of car he wanted; not just a reliable one); purchase a home somewhere in the Cache Valley with lots of land; start my home for unwanted/abused pets; adopt more kids; do whatever it takes to get pregnant so I could experience that too; ask Brett to quit his job and have him do whatever he wanted. I would, of course, help family out too. I could go on but that is a pretty good start.

3 bad habits

1. I'm Lazy

2. I bite my nails when I am stressed or nervous and, sometimes, when I'm bored

3. I'm a cusser. I have tried to stop this since becoming a mom, but I have not mastered it yet.

5 places I have lived (only 5!!??)

1. Greeley, Co

2. Various Cities in Utah

3. Various Cities in Indiana

4. Brandon, Florida

5. Modesto, Ca

5 jobs I have had

1. Worked as a Checker and in the Bakery Dept. of Grocery Store

2. Pretzel Time Shift Leader

3. Deseret Book

4. Bowling Ball Cleaner

5. Credit Union Teller

5 things people don't know about me

1. I was suspended for 1 day & had in school suspension for 3 days after calling a teacher a "fart face" in 6th grade.

2. I hate making phone calls to people I don't know. It freaks me out. I always make Brett call in a pizza order. I seriously lost it when we needed to call our Valiant 10 class members to introduce ourselves before our 1st Sunday together. Brett hates this about me.

3. When I was a kid I could sit in my room for hours making up my own music videos to my favorite songs. (you should have seen my version of Thriller. It was awesome) Sadly...I still like do this today.

4. I studied abroad for 3 weeks with Ricks College. I got to see so many amazing pieces of artwork. I love Art, Music, Literature. I hope I am teaching my kids to appreciate these things as well.

5. There is rarely a night I don't dream. Like my step-sister Lexie, they are very vivid and crazy. (must be our shared bday Lexie) When I wake up I always have to tell Brett about them. I really shouldn't because it only helps his insanity case against me.

Six Quirky things about me:
1. I have the same routine when I get ready. I never detour from this. In the shower I wash in a certain order. When I am out I always put a towel on my head, my robe on and then I sit on my bed and do my "after shower routine". If for some reason I have to switch things up a bit, it always throws me off and I always forget to do something (i.e. brush my teeth, put on my wedding ring) I am very much a creature of habit. I like routine.

2. I hate the feeling of raw wood. It makes my teeth hurt! I cannot use a wooden spoon! I do, however, love the smell of raw wood. I love to walk through Home Depot and smell the wood. Can't touch it, I can only smell it.

3. I like a happy ending. Nothing makes me angrier than sitting through a movie (or a book) and falling in love with the characters only for it to end crappy! (don't get me started on City of Angels or Message in a Bottle....Ugh! I hate those movies!)

4. I am a very non-confrontational person...when it comes to me. If you are not nice to me or treat me poorly, I will not say anything to you. I will tell my husband (or anyone else that will listen) all about the rude person; but I will not deal directly with the rude person. Bad I know. But, if you mess with my family or friends, I will hunt you down and take care of the problem. One a same note, I can be very confrontational with people in my life that I really trust and love. I guess it is because I know they will love me know matter what. This is not a good thing either. (ask my Dad or my sweet patient husband)

5. When I am sleeping and I get too hot, I cannot totally take the covers off. I have to have at least a little bit I can hold onto. I also never use a top sheet....I know the horror! My mom would die if she knew. It just gets in the way. My feet & legs come in and out of the covers all night long and the top sheet always gets in the way. I just have to wash the blanket a lot more.

6. I hate it when people tell me what to do. Even if it is something I want to do, if you tell me to do it, all of the sudden I don't want to anymore. (again ask my dad and husband...poor things)

One of my biggest fears is:
Losing my husband or anything happening to my kids.

Well....there you go. It is a wonder I have any friends or people that love me. On paper I am an obnoxious wierdy!

Ok, so I am going to tag my two sister-in-laws (Shannon and Jody); because they are new to the blogging world, and it would be a great way for all of us to get to know you better. I will leave any other tagging to anyone else that is interested. Heck some of you might want to, but if I tell you to, you might not want to anymore!

I loved reading these things about YOU. I learned some new things about you. But, one thing I already knew about you was, You not liking to be told what to do. Can I just say I have a vivid memory of your first day of trackting(sp?) in Bloomington. ;) Those were the days. You're the Best.

I will love to be tagged by you because you know I will do what ever you tell me to do! Oh by the way I read the blog earlier and I saw how you spelt my name. I bet you and our mom-in-law are in cahoots about me having a male spelling of my name.

I fixed it! Doesn't that count for anything! Sorry. If you lived closer I might remember how to spell it. :)

I also have my routine in the shower that MUST be followed! I am a little too superstitious and think something "bad" might happen if I do not follow it exactly the same order every time!

Heidi! I swear this is no diss to you and yours! It came up after my sister-in-law commented and I noticed we both had the same title. So I changed it to let her know (yes Shannon, I mean you) that we are the coolest Allen family. You are and will always be the coo...well at least on the same level of coolness as me. (hee hee)

Oh, that would explain comments 3 & 4.

Well, as long as I can be in the same boat as you on the coolness level, I'm ok with that! (Although, I think we all know you are the coolest cat around!)

I loved reading those things about you! How cool are you? And one of the best parts was the accompanying sound track of 'tainted love.' :)
