I love General Conference Weekend.
Not only for the obvious reasons (church + wearing your jammies=AWESOME!!) but for the spiritual renewal that it always brings. I am going to be honest with you today...please don't be offended....I don't feel as spiritually refreshed this time as I normally do.

I don't think I prepared myself properly. I know for a fact I didn't give Conference the proper attention I should have on Saturday and I think that just set up my Sunday for failure as well. Don't get me wrong, I did feel the spirit and I did feel uplifted. I guess I just didn't feel as connected as I normally do. This makes me sad. I am grateful for the Ensign and LDS.org. I will be reading my Ensign cover to cover next month! KSL also has all the talks available for viewing too. So today I am going to share with you the talk that stood out to me the most. Unfortunately, it is only a link. I hope you take the time to watch it again. I think that is what I am going to do this week. Each morning I am going to have my own little devotional and watch or read a Conference talk. I am hoping for some forgiveness and the spiritual renewal I so need.

I loved Conference and I am the most unprepared person I know, so I was not offended. I just needed to hear a lot of what was said. I love your "obvious reasons" for loving Conference. For me, I do a puzzle. A thousand piecer usually does the trick.
That comment totally did not make sense! That's what I get for trying to write while being accosted by hungry children home from school!
I know what you mean! Luckily ours is saved on our DVR! Yahoo. I love the idea about your own little devotional each day. Perfect.
I was out of town on business during conference and I sure missed it. I look forward to it every six months. It is great though that all I have to do is stream it from lds.org. But somehow listening to bits and pieces when I can just isn't the same as relaxing all weekend and listening. Pop
I was totally caught off guard by the times I felt inspired, and then at other times when I expected to really "get something out of a talk"--so I sat up a little straighter, got the pen ready, etc--and nothing! Well, not nothing, but not what I expected, when I really tried to focus--guess that's how the Spirit works sometimes. I love your morning devotional idea--what a great way to start the day! Can't wait for the November Ensign . . .Anywho, this is way too long, but lastly, can I just say Conference weekend, (as wonderful as it is) is exhausting! 7pm Sunday night--I was passed out on the couch!
