First Day of School

First Day of School!!! Yay!! I know I have not been a mom for a very long time; but that does not mean I can't appreciate when the school year begins! Raul and Ellie were pretty excited to go to their new school and get back into a routine again. The night before we had gone to the school (Harvest Elementary) and found their classes and met their teachers. We even found the lunchroom. I think they were feeling pretty confidant. So we of course had to have our 1st day of school photo shoot. Jackie wanted to be a part of it too. Ellie was so funny; she kept posing and saying "Mom, is this cute? Take a picture of this!". They were both so happy and excited....until the bus got there. Then all of the sudden Ellie was clinging to me. I gave her a big hug and told her she would be just fine and gently pushed her toward the bus. She gave a little wave and jumped on board. She had her moment of worry and then it was all gone! They both love their new school and their new teachers. I think they will both have a really great year!
