Oh My Lucky Charms!

I have always loved St. Patricks. My Mom always made it a fun day. Now that I am married to a Patrick (Brett's middle name) and Brett's Grandfathers name is Patrick Henry Finnegan (you can't get more Irish than that!), it is even more important to make a big deal. My children need to know all about their Irish heritage. So here are pictures of our yummy green breakfast. If you notice Lucky the Leprachan left gold coins on our kitchen table.
In the craziness of the day I didn't take pictures of Jackie and I making Shamrock cookies, our cute St. Patricks Day outfits, or of our very authentic Irish dinner. You will just have to take my word for it. We had a great day and ate lots of green things.
Also......

Ellie was suppose to bring a green treat to share at school. So yesterday we made fun green fuzzy friends. (We opted for the non edible treat)
Check them out below.

Finnegan! Are you kidding me?! I love it.

You inspired us and we had the green mac n cheese and an impromptu green dinner that I'll have to blog about.

I am going to have to do some research because James' Grandpa Allen is Irish. Maybe we are for reals related, not just for pretend. Could it be all those people that thought we were related were on to something...?

You are such a cute mom. I totally forgot it was St. Patty's Day. Cody was in blue and I wore white and didn't think anything of it.

I thought you loved St. Patricks day because it's my birthday.

I love St. Patty's day too! It could be because it is Aaron's b-day of course! It was always so fun making EVERYTHING green! I love the non edible treats. Great idea. See you are a GREAT mom! naunie
